Aspery Aiming For Another Classic Upset Courtesy of www.racing.com.au 31/10/14 - Ben Asgari - Trainer Scott Aspery will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of another young New South Welshman when he saddles Estonian Princess in Saturday's $500,000 Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington on Saturday. Three years earlier, Victoria's premier race for fillies and mares provided Matthew Smith with his first success at the highest level when Hurtle Myrtle upset a star-studded field that included multiple Group 1 winners More Joyous, Mosheen and Sacred Choice.

Tough filly Estonian Princess gave trainer Scott Aspery his first stakes winner at Randwick on Saturday and will now only be set for mile and seven-furlong races following her win in the James Carr Stakes. After the Snitzel filly's failure in the Adrian Knox Stakes over 2000 meters a fortnight earlier, Aspery was forced to freshen her up and she edged out favourite Northern Glory in a photo in what was a top training performance.
